While the chapter count remains the same, that isn’t to say the game is incredibly similar to the original in the amount of content on offer. In total, there are 12 chapters similar to the original Dead Space that should take you roughly an hour each to complete, give or take a little time, depending on your exploration efforts. With the game being a full-on remake of the original, you may be wondering how much content there is. With each subsequent run though, it will probably take you less time.Dead Space Remake brings back the iconic Isaac Clarke on his introductory (and arguably greatest) mission. ![]() In our experience for review, it took us a little over 13 hours to beat the Dead Space remake on Medium difficulty, without any New Game Plus benefits. Overall, the time it takes to beat Dead Space will depend largely on your difficulty and how many repeat runs you might need through an area. These may be fairly quick runs back through areas you’re already familiar with, but they’ll still eat up some time. Those 12 chapters of Dead Space will roughly run you anywhere from an hour to a little more to beat, but there are also some side quests to tackle too. Many chapters cut off a bit differently compared to the original, or have different ways of moving between them altogether. This is because the USG Ishimura, in Motive’s Dead Space remake, is much more open and has side-quests that may require some back-tracking. ![]() Motive’s take on Dead Space treats them more like narrative book-ends, while not always creating hard stopping points or cut-offs.
